About Dudes in the District
Our Mission
Dudes in the District provides space where men in the DMV can connect and grow together through friendship and community engagement. We strive to create a welcoming community that promotes diversity, inclusivity, and respect for all.
Our History
Dudes in the District was founded in 2023 by two leadership members of City Girls Who Walk DC (yes, women started the group!). City Girls Who Walk DC grew so much that men started asking if there was a similar group for them. Dudes' co-founders, Samantha and Katie, helped create and JJ "El Presidente" Took charge for DITD to create a space where men in the DMV can make new friends and form meaningful connections.
Rebuilding The Brotherhood
We're writing a fresh chapter in the story of men's community in the DMV. Born from the foundations of Dudes in the District, we're building a revitalized brotherhood that honors our roots while embracing new possibilities. Our mission is to create strong, lasting connections among men from all walks of life. We're not just a social group – we're crafting a supportive network where genuine friendships thrive and personal growth is encouraged. Through shared experiences, open dialogue, and a commitment to inclusivity, we're laying the groundwork for a brotherhood that will stand the test of time. Our Activities
We offer a variety of activities and events for our members,Washington, DC.
